Event horizon

Standard

Sneaking through barred windows over fire
escape, barbed wire on roof next door catches glinting
sudden sunshine after early December rainstorm.
Furious event horizon passes over with the
speed of NYC rush hour pedestrian traffic.
Wind kicks in, knocks me down in the
crosswalk of Broadway.
I knew it was coming.

  1. Nice. However, I found this imagery confusing:-
“Furious event horizon passes over with the
speed of NYC rush hour pedestrian traffic.

Wind on the LES is still swifter than midtown human traffic in Monday morning:-)

  2. I really dig this. As a poet I think your style is unique, great imagery here. I too have a poetry blog but my reply isn’t spam, like some of the others! Really good scribe.
    peace,
